I keep telling people the mice in my walls are small. Well if this doesn't prove it, nothing will. I caught this tiny button myself. He was hanging off the curtains. Apart from being hungry I think he's okay, at least I hope he is. I'm no great mouser so when I manage to catch one I know it's having problems. He had a nibble of cucumber and was working on the sunflower seeds, so I hope that will fix him up. Tea Mouse is keeping him company right now. She's a good little mum.
Poor little fellow....what a pee wee
he looks so tiny!
He is! Just a bean!
Your a pretty amazing person to do something like that. Such a tiny little mouse. I am surprise he let you catch him and trusting you like that. You are so kind to do that for
this little guy. Well at least he has your Tea mouse is keeping him company. That is so nice
He seemed pretty hungry. It's winter and he's pretty young, I don't think he knew how to feed himself. There is probably not much to eat living in the walls anyway. So he should be fine now because he has a home and other mice for company.
Aww that is just awesome. I love hearing things like this.
such a cute little fellow. keep on eating little one
Is this one of them mouses that usually run around the home I am a bit confused but not a pet that you purchase?
Yes this is a wild mousie. It's a Harvest Mouse, and our building is infested with them. Once I catch them I keep them, because I know if I let them go they will get eaten by the cats or poisoned.
I have to say you are a very rare kind of person as I never heard of anyone keeping these kind of mice as pets.I admire you for that
I just can't stand to see something so tiny suffer. I can't stand to see anything suffer, really, but how could I leave him to starve? The poor baby was so hungry.
Bless your heart is all I have to say that I wish the rest of the world thought the way you did
What a teeny thing!
I know! He's so cute! I love the way Tea Mouse washed him all over like she's his mum.
You do with mousies what I wish I could have as a kid. My dad used to use glue traps to get rid of them. The first time I found one still alive, I carried it to my room and tried to free it, and cried when I couldn't. My dad stopped using glue traps after that, but still. It broke my heart.
Glue traps are f*cking hideous. They ought to be illegal. I can't for the life of me think what a hellish death that must be, trapped to a board and slowly dying of starvation and thirst.
I know. Every time I saw them, I cried like a baby.
I would have too.
I think my dad finally switched to the snap traps (he wouldn't use poison because my brother was still a toddler and we had Drago and Sphinx) which weren't much better, but better than the glue traps.
At least with a snap trap they are dead instantly. When I had ducks I had to use them because there were rats EVERYWHERE and it was getting dangerous. I actually caught three at once because there were so many.
I feel like a cat person like me should not find your wee mousies so darned cute.
The cute of wee mousies cannot be denied!
Nope, they cannot!
I am tempted to deny any cuteness in squirrels though. Little creeps scamper over the roof so I can hear them at all hours in my attic room, and I've notified the landlord that I think they're nesting inside the walls. And one of them stashed a walnut in my car wheel! The godawful squealing that made freaked me out!
